A new analysis from investment firm Bridgewater Associates estimates that leading technology companies will invest around $650 billion in artificial intelligence infrastructure and development throughout 2026.
The report identifies Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Apple and several Chinese tech giants as the primary drivers of this spending surge.
Bridgewaters analysis suggests the investment could add 0.5-0.8 percentage points to global GDP growth in 2026 and 2027.
