New dinosaur species discovered in Argentina fossil find

The discovery was made in Patagonia sedimentary rock formations. The fossil preserves about 70% of the dinosaur skeleton, including the skull and vertebrae.

Scientists estimate the creature lived approximately 90 million years ago. It was a herbivore measuring about 6 meters in length.

The dinosaur belongs to the titanosaur group of sauropods. These were the largest land animals ever to exist.

Researchers have named the species Patagotitan australis. Further analysis will reveal details about its diet, movement, and environment.
