The UEFA Champions League semifinals concluded on Wednesday with two dramatic matches that extended into stoppage time. Manchester City advanced 3-2 on aggregate against Bayern Munich, while Atlético Madrid secured a 2-1 aggregate victory over Paris Saint-Germain.

Manchester City's match at the Etihad Stadium appeared headed for extra time until Kevin De Bruyne scored in the 93rd minute. The Belgian midfielder's strike from outside the box secured City's place in the final for the second time in four years.

"It's an incredible feeling," said City manager Pep Guardiola. "The players showed tremendous character. We knew it would be difficult against Bayern, but we believed until the end."

In Madrid, Antoine Griezmann scored the decisive goal in the 89th minute to give Atlético a 2-1 victory on the night and 2-1 aggregate win. The French forward's header completed a comeback after PSG had taken an early lead.

The final on June 10 in Istanbul will feature two clubs seeking their first Champions League title. Manchester City lost in the 2023 final, while Atlético Madrid has been runner-up three times (1974, 2014, 2016).
