A record night in Chicago
Caitlin Clark put on a show in Chicago on Sunday night. The Indiana Fever guard set a career high with eight three-pointers and finished with 37 points in a 113-90 win over the Chicago Sky. She shot 13 of 24 from the field and 8 of 12 from beyond the arc.
Clark also added 10 assists. It was her fifth career game with at least 30 points and 10 assists, a mark no other player in league history has reached more than four times. She is the only player in WNBA history with more than four such games.
Bounce-back win
The win snapped a two-game losing streak for the Fever. Indiana had lost to the New York Liberty on Saturday, and Clark said afterward there would be 'no excuses' and that the Sky game was a chance to bounce back quickly.
She got going early and never let up. She knocked down her eighth triple of the night late in the game, crossing 100 three-pointers for the season in the same moment. The milestone capped another standout performance in a season full of them.
A career-best season
Clark is having the best season of her career. She is averaging 22.1 points and 8.3 assists per game across 35 regular-season appearances, both career bests. Her 4.6 turnovers per game are the lowest of her career.
The Fever, meanwhile, are building momentum as the playoff race heats up. Sunday's win showed what the team can do when Clark is locked in from deep. With the regular season winding down, Indiana will lean on its star guard to keep delivering nights like this one.
